About This Map

The Hyland Estates Subdivision map was published in 1934 by W.J. Nalley, a local civil engineer and graduate of Georgia Tech. This map is located in the northern part of Virginia Highland. It is bounded by the east side of Johnson Road and the Cumberland Road. The map includes Cumberland Road, Johnson Road, Beach Valley Road, Pasadena Avenue and Meadowdale Avenue.

This ornate map of Hyland Estates is one of the best know examples of the subdivision. The hand drawn lettering and hatching make this a true piece of art while also preserving the history of the area.

This map is printed on 100% cotton fiber archival paper and measures is 16 ¼” x 16”. The framed piece measures 20 ¾” x 20 ½” and is available exclusively at GLS Archives.
