About This Map

The Peachtree Heights Park Co. (west) map was published in 1910 by Carrere and Hastings architectural firm of New York. This map is located in west Buckhead. It includes Peachtree Battle Avenue, Nacoochee Drive, Woodward Way, Habersham Road, Cherokee Road, Telalee Lane, Muscogee Avenue, West Wesley, River Road, Serpentine Drive, Una Road, Andrews Avenue and Argonne Drive.

This map is extremely unique for a couple of reasons. First, we own the original ink on linen that Carrere and Hastings drafted to design the neighborhood. Carrere & Hastings was arguably the premier architectural firm in the United States at this time. And this is the only subdivision the firm ever designed. Some of their other works include the New York Public Library, the Metropolitan Opera House and Arlington National Cemetery. Second, there are very few copies that exist of Peachtree Heights West and the ones that do are in poor condition and are much smaller. This scan is a high quality full size copy of the original.

This map is printed on 100% cotton fiber archival paper. The print measures 42” X 17 ½”and the framed full size map measures 46 ½” X 22 ½” and is available exclusively at GLS Archives.
