About This Map

The Garden Hills map was published in 1926 by O.F. Kaufman. The subdivision was developed by Phillips Campbell McDuffie who formed the Garden Hills Corporation. This map is located in central Buckhead. It includes Rumson Road, Rumson Way, Bolling Road, Brentwood Drive, Brentwood Terrace, North Hills Road, Alpine Road, Pine Tree Drive and West Wesley Drive.

As with many developments, Gardens Hills started off with grandiose plans. Note the riding track, tennis court, and lake. Bowing to financial realities these amenities were scrapped in favor of higher lot density. Thankfully some of the neighborhood amenities have survived over time. This map is the first edition and retains the planned amenities like the riding track and country club area.

This map is printed on 100% cotton fiber archival paper. The framed map measures is 54 ½” x 28 ½” and the print measures 50″ x 24″ and is available exclusively at GLS Archives.
